Essay

Whereas Berenguer de Palous “Tant mabelis” is able to touch in the manner by which vocals, violin, and flute can be combined perfectly, Johann Sebastian Bachs Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwHpDOWhkGk) has to do with the subjectivity of the individual. Despite the fact that Palou and Bachs pieces may seem distinct at first, after careful analyzation, it is noticeable that both compositions have a certain vibe that help a listener relax and put him or her at ease.

Although I did not get to see Bach in person, I had the opportunity to visit The Piano Guys, who performed Bachs Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major impeccably. The reason as to why I enjoyed this music was because it allowed me to focus on everything that I needed. Although both musical compositions being discussed are completely unique in that they each accommodate different types of artists, Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major would probably not appeal to certain kinds of audiences because of its tempo. In the same manner, Palous Tant mabelis might not appeal to other audiences. This would be due to the actuality of how subjective music really is. What is meant by this is that certain individuals prefer some times of music over other times of music simply because of the musics background of lyrical composition. In order to understand the comparison between these two great pieces of art, an individual must be open-minded and accept all kinds of subjectivity.
