Information system has a crucial role in shaping evidence-based practice environment. Majority of the clinical practice in archaic nursing practices has limited evidence due to reliance on textbook information, untrustworthy case studies and research, partial reviews, personal clinical experience as well as obsolete premises. In contemporary health care settings however, information has been applicable in capturing, transformation as well as maintenance of information that constructively impact evidence-based practice environment. These include the raw information, processed data as well as knowledge. On condition that the raw data based on information systems is considered to be varied, then the processed data can qualify to be an equivalent of evidence. Information system best suits as intellectual first degree construct where evidence derived from a variety of sources can be linked, correlated as well as validated for the purpose of establishment of scientific truth (Safdar & Abad, 2008). Information system is best suitable for intellectuals, practical activities and professional workers in health care (Safdar & Abad, 2008).

In proper terms, information system is the most important component in coherent decision making that heals injuries that may arise out of use of incomplete information evidence-based practice environment. The scientific research that can be seen as perfect must be associated with applied evidence with regard to case-specific information. This has important implications in management practices that have proliferated in areas of resource allocation, purchasing as well as contacting in health care (Weisbord & Janoff, 2000). The most important resource in this regard is the cumulative regional database in previous activities that support the process of administrative decisions in nursing. Information system must offer security against privacy issues violation with zero tolerance to availability as well as control of information.
