Communication plays a great role in determining the concept of effective performance among workers across different fields of operation in the community. Notably, this is especially true when it comes to determining the role of communication in medical industries. Considerably, people making up the medical facilities all around the globe come from different backgrounds, different nationalities and different cultures. Accordingly, with this diversity taken into account, it is expected that communication issues will arise. When such situations happen, the patients being attended to by the workers in the said field are the ones to suffer consequences. It could be understood that through time, observations and reports of malpractice often among medical practitioners often come from the determinable concept of not being able to communicate well between each other.

This is the reason why it is important to know the different communication styles that people use especially in the workplace to be able to decipher the primary solutions to the issues of miscommunication in the said area of expertise and function. There are actually five primary styles of communication that humans use especially when it comes to the correlative relation that people share in workplaces. These styles include assertive style, aggressive style, passive-aggressive style, submissive style and manipulative style. Between men and women, it is most often than not that women are more manipulative in the way they impose communication among their peers yet submissive when it comes to determining their position in communicating with their superiors.

On the other hand, men are more aggressive especially in dealing with their subordinates and individuals coming from the opposite gender. Relatively though, such consideration changes when men talk to their superiors. While they are enforced to submit to their superiors, men often feel the need to share their thoughts or at least give an indicative solution to a problem especially when it comes to operating with a woman superior.  Gender-bias is often considered in determining the communication conflicts between men and women workers in the medical industry. Both the superiors and the general practitioners often find it hard to go against the flow of this particular conflict especially when they are dealing with serious medical cases among their patients.

To overcome such issues, it is considered by other administrators to set up a standard, a common ground by which their employees, staff members and general medical practitioners to connect with each other and become more effective in expressing themselves as well as when it comes to listening to both their subordinates and their superiors. People become more responsive to communication when they are given an aspect of basis that they could use to determine the position they are supposed to take into account especially in serving the needs of the people depending on their services.

What constitutes good communication in the medical industries that are sure to help in avoiding medical malpractice and mistaken medical procedures applied among patients? There are several options taken into account by several administrators in the industry. One of which is the inclusion of technology into the system of development and communication that exists in the facilities where the staff members are working in. Technological data input systems such as the EHR or Electronic Health Record operations are expected to keep updated information about patients, their background and their developments depending on the health cases they are being treated with. Staff members who are assigned to give attention to the updating process of these data-storage systems are given the chance to make sure that the patients are addressed with the medical attention that they need from the crew of the hospital [or other specific medical facilities where the patients are being treated in].

Putting the EHR system into a networked operation within the whole facility to be accessed by particular users such as doctors, nurses and other aids in the facility allows for a better flow of communication and procedures in the area. Considerably, establishing such a culture of connection and cooperation among members and workers of the facilities would actually be able to retain a good process of communication among the staffs. This way, not only are the procedures taken into full account, but the lives of the patients protected properly as well.

Giving attention to the common issues of communication development among workers in medical institutions is an important aspect of developing the overall function of the said facilities towards the benefit of the patients that they serve. People of course expect to be served well and to be given specific attention that they need especially in determining the way they are likely able to recover from the health situation that they are actually dealing with. Considerably, people who depend in such a system expect so much from the individuals [particularly experts] who are attending to them.

It is an utmost concern among medical practitioners to address such expectations from the public. However, with evidently numerous issues of communication among the staff members and all other workers in the field, such consideration might not be easy to accomplish. The goal of serving the patients with their needs is especially important in determining the values of the people working in the medical industries. In relation to this matter, it could be realized that somehow, the inclusion of technological procedures to be used so as to pass over the conflicts of human communication helps a lot in creating more effective and more efficient service for the patients they need to address.

Communication will of course not be over-run by the utilization of technology. Medical staff workers need to give attention to the way they communicate between each other, to listen and understand what their subordinates as well as their superiors have to say especially when dealing with special cases about patients they are addressing. Relatively, getting over such conflicts is necessary especially when it comes to responding to emergencies and other critical situations among people in the society. Notably, with such conflicts being reduced, patients would be better served and their values better respected as the primary receivers of attention from the medical industry.
