Researches dependent on healthcare practices and healthcare issues often require a sense of indication by which the individuals involved are closely observed while the elements contributing to their condition are evaluated at the same time. In consideration with the topic on diabetes and the different contributing factors that specifically impact its occurrence on patients, the research that has been handled was specifically identified through the use of three separate methodologies. The three methodologies used were notably that of the quantitative, the qualitative and the mixed method approach. In the discussion that follows, a definition on how each of these particular procedures provided a good indication of control and development on the topic concerned shall be shown hence creating a more responsive distinction on which of the methods were actually able to provide more accurate data that would be able to create a distinctive condition on how the issue is discussed and the relevant problems are likely to be given proper solution.
The primary research questions that have been given attention to in the researches in general are focused on three particular aspects by which type two diabetes occurs in particular patients. Type two diabetes or the non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus is tested based on three components that are expected to contribute to its occurrence. These factors include the ailments relevance with race definitions [particularly African Americans], age of the patients and the existence of adverse anxiety among the patients which is expected to increase the intensity of the impact of diabetes type two among afflicted individuals. Another aspect of consideration pointed out at is that of the increasing condition of diabetes among individuals with background on familial obesity.
In line with the quantitative design of research, the topic assigned to the matter includes the condition by which the existence of diabetes is tested between obesity as well as that of the age of the individuals afflicted by the said health issue. Considerably, the process utilized for this particular research provided an effective source of data that specifically defined the matter based on mathematical conditions involving numerical values that are necessary in imposing how much age and familial background provide a distinctive condition for patients that develop a life course dependent on diabetes type 2.
Qualitative design on the other hand has been used to investigate the cross development of type 2 diabetes on patients in relation to their race. Notably, since the research intends to utilize both behavioral response and personal attitude of the participants, the consideration over the qualitative method is assumed to be effective and rather definitive of the matter (Given, 2008, 56). Hence, this aspect of the research does provide a specific condition by which the data collected provides a great impact on identifying how race does create a connection between the possibility of one could specifically develop diabetes as a personal health issue.
On the other hand, the mixed method approach was used to examine the connection of developing diabetes type two among patients who have developed specific anxiety attacks. The utilization of the mixed method did increase the capacity of the research to identify relative numerical data that would indicate the health condition of the patient based on specific points of occurrences of anxiety and while it also tries to give ample indication on the behavioral condition that pushes forward for the patients’ development of the patients’ attitude towards the matter (Marshall, et al, 1998, 76).
Overall, the capacity of all three methodologies to identify the impact of contributing factors to the development of incidental development of health cases like that of type two diabetes were efficient enough in providing good information that helps in identifying the causes of the ailment and likely how to deal with the prevalence of their impact on the human society. It could be realized that with these particular incidents of measurement handled through research, both qualitative and quantitative approaches collaboratively provide specific data that was helpful in identifying the causes and effects of type to diabetes on human individuals.
