Research Paper

Competition is part of every existing industry. Noticeably, it could be understood that Staples US shares the same situation among other organizations in the same industry. In this discussion, a differential attention on two of the greatest competitors of Staples US shall be better understood; these organizations include Office Depot and Amazon.com. To note, the first organization to observe is that of Amazon.com. Amazon is one organization that has first emerged as an online business basically geared towards earning through solid online transactions. Staples and Amazon have one thing in common; both organizations are willing to utilize the internet fully to be able to complete business-related transactions even though risks are high in relation to this particular aspect of operation.

The difference between Amazon and Staples US on the other hand includes the overall consideration on how the businesses tend to operate in a continuous manner. Amazon concentrates on its online options of business transactions, while Staples US retains its physical connections within different locations in separate branches of operation. This likely brings Staples US a better sense of its competitive stance against the said online organization.

Office Depot on the other hand has a distinct similarity in relation to the capacity of both organizations to expand physically and operate on physical shops. Along with this, Office Depot shares the same market interest that Staples US is basically involved in. Practically, this puts Office Depot to be among the closest direct competitions of Staples US in the local and international market.

Nevertheless, when it comes to online familiarity, Staples US has a much more defined path of development in engaging in internet-based transactions compared to that of the strategies embraces by Office Depot in the field of e-commerce. Considerably, it could be realized that with this particular approach to business operation, Staples US has a definite sense of constructive existence both in a physical and online market.
