Australia is an interesting country as well as continent when it comes to the element of doing business. However, the recent developments in the country have meant that the conditions have become less favorable and it is taking its toll on the country’s economy. With the decline of the manufacturing industry, the rate of unemployment has gone up and it has resulted in a general decline of the economy.

Based on the factors that are evident in the country, it is obvious that the country is quite ideal for business. The ideal business areas are Melbourne and Sydney, which are on the East part of Australia and the environment is based on a fusion of business and pleasure that is convenient for business (Reed, 2004). The country has a lot of untapped land in the west, north and south, which is ideal for production plant establishment, but it will be inconvenient for market availability.

The aspect of political stability is evident in the country; as there have been steps made to bridging the gap between the different ethnic groups in the country. The country can boast of having a large amount of natural resources, and it is the fundamental reason that the country is shifting to becoming a resource based economy. This element will be ideal for the companies seeking to do business in the mining sector. (Parham, 2002)

The location of the country is un-ideal for a number of countries, however it is located to ideal countries such as China, Japan and Russia, and they can provide high level so f business for the country, and the demand for the countries resources has meant that other distant countries are eager to do business in the country.
