CorMatrix in Treating Patients With Congenital Heart Disease, Essay Example

Pages: 4

Words: 972

Essay

Most often than not, treatments and medical operations that are undergone to provide healthcare assistance to individuals who have congenital heart diseases are rather and dangerous in nature. This is because of the fact that heart, being one of the most vital parts of the body, is considered to undergo a particular stage of vulnerability when being subjected to operations. Usually, the capacity of the heart to withstand long hours of operation fail to instantiate on how it ought to respond to the applications that are given attention to when patients are subjected to such medical considerations. One of the most affected parts of the heart when it is subjected to operation includes the valves. The damage that the valves may have [which ought to be treated during the application of the medical process considered], tends to increase [if not develop] during the actual operation. Notably, such condition creates anomalies that usually endanger the life of the patient.

The development of CorMatrix is one innovative and strategic approach to the matter. Implantation of new heart on patients who have undergone heart transplant was given the chance to distinctively get particular medical attention from the developers of CorMatrix. Aiming to make the transplant more successful especially at the point of improving the capacity of the patient’s body [and the surrounding areas of the heart] to respond to the new implantation, the CorMatrix application has been tested several times to make sure that its application is not the one that would cause the anomalies on the health situation and the state of recovery that the patients need to undergo.

First to note on this matter is the actual makeup of CorMatrix, which is an agent that improves the capacity of the human body to produce elements that would develop a better sense of how heart ailments are treated. Increasing the capacity of the innovation to improve the body’s response to such medical operations provide a distinct sense of control on how individuals undergoing such medical procedures are assisted to incur faster pace of recovery. This goal has been reached accordingly under particular circumstances that have been observed and proven through research. Abbas Haider Zaidi’s (et al) study proves such matter in insisting that valve reconstruction operations have been heightened and improved for application through the use of CorMatrix. It has been reported through this research that CorMatrix improved the manner by which the surrounding areas in the transplanted heart responded to the adjustments that the operation introduced to the body. There were distinct inflammation of tissues around the area, but such reaction was not deemed to be of high risk in relation to the said condition of the heart. Instead, the research gave more insistence on how CorMatrix was able to create a more stabilizing effect that did allow for the faster pace of recovery among the patients observed for the study.

Rissell Witt’s (et al, 2013) study on cardiovascular surgery presents the same situation especially in relation to how CorMatrix improved the body response to the application of surgical reconstruction in establishing a more defined pattern of development that heart-operations are supposed to impose on the system of the patient. The patients involved in the study belonged to 18 years age range. The implantation of the cardiovascular reconstruction agents among the patients do provide a more convincing pattern by which surgical procedures are proven necessary to be applied for the sake of fixing the heart anomalies among the patients.

In this research, Witts and his colleagues have provided a solid foundation that insists on the applicability and practicality of how CorMatrix could be used to improve body-response to surgical reconstruction procedures. Notably, through the SIS-ECM implantation observation, the 37 patents did respond accordingly to the CorMatrix application thus improving the recovery process that each patient has undergone. Through improving tissue-strength of the cells surrounding the areas where the reconstruction surgery occurred, the patients are given better options of developing a more established condition of determining the advancement of the response of the body towards the said occurrences and anomalies specifically responded to through the use of CorMatrix application.

Through the data and evidence collected herein, it could be realized that CorMatrix does have a definite impact on how the body responds to heart-related operations specifically used to treat congenital heart diseases. It could be understood that somehow, the emergence of good application as per realized through initiating CorMatrix insertion into the operation provides a more distinct indication on the role that the said application instantiates on how the body responds to heart-related operations. Considerably, medical experts have already found the practicality of the matter and have realized how the said application improves bodily response. Notably, it is through this approach that consistent assumption of the effective application of CorMatrix does provide a more developed essence in further observing how such innovation create a more workable process that would help patients with congenital heart disease to survive the situation accordingly.

CorMatrix is continuously being observed and researched upon up to this point. Relatively, it could be noted that through the emergence of this particular innovation in medicine, the dangers of heart-related surgeries is scaled down to a lower-rate. Practically, the studies that are completed at present to prove the efficiency of  CorMatrix provide a more determined foundation of identification on how effective CorMatrixis in lessening the health-stresses that are related to the emergence of health-anomalies that occur after the operations.
