The functional structure for the business would work very well in situations where every subdivision depends on the knowledge talent of its support staff and workers. Though, one of the disadvantages to a functional structure is that the communication and coordination between the organization’s divisions can be limited by the administrative restrictions since the numerous branches tend to work separately.
