[My assumptions, beliefs, and values heavily influenced my choice of topic. As someone who is passionate about global politics and international relations, I am highly interested in the history and development of the United Nations. I believe strongly in the importance of international cooperation and collaboration and the role of the United Nations in promoting it. Furthermore, I value the principles of human rights and justice that the United Nations stands for and the progress it has made towards their realization (De Capello et al., 1970). [it provides us with a better understanding of the United Nations and its role in international affairs. By looking back at the creation of the organization and the events that led to its formation, we can gain an appreciation for the progress that has been made throughout its history and the positive impact it has had on global politics. This research can also be used to better inform our understanding of the current geopolitical landscape and the challenges that the international community is currently facing. Furthermore, by exploring the successes and failures of the United Nations, we can gain insight into how the organization can be improved and how it can better serve its mission of promoting peace and justice.]

Explain how you used sources to finalize your research question.

[I used a variety of sources to finalize my research question. These sources included books, articles, and online sources. I started by reading books and articles that provided an overview of the history of the United Nations and its role in international affairs. This gave me a basic understanding of the organization and its impact on the world. I then used online sources such as the United Nations website and other online databases to further my research. These sources provided additional information on the creation of the United Nations, the key events that led to its formation, and the progress that has been made since its inception. Finally, I used scholarly articles and reports to develop an understanding of the current state of the United Nations and the challenges it is currently facing (De Capello et al., 1970). This allowed me to finalize my research question and focus my research on the Creation of the United Nations and its impact on international affairs.]

[The context of my historical event that influenced my current event is the creation of the United Nations in 1945. This event was driven by the desire of world leaders to create an international organization that would promote peace and security. The United Nations has since become a major player in international affairs and its principles have become an integral part of the global political landscape. Describe a historical figure or group’s participation in your historical event.

[An important figure in my historical event is former US President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Roosevelt was one of the key architects of the United Nations and his vision for the organization served as the basis for its creation. Roosevelt believed in the importance of international cooperation and the need for a global organization to promote peace and security. He was a major proponent of the United Nations and worked to ensure its success. His legacy lives on in the organization and its accomplishments over the past 75 years.]

[The motivation for Franklin D. Roosevelt and other key figures to participate in the creation of the United Nations was to promote peace and stability in a world that had been ravaged by two world wars. Roosevelt believed that the only way to prevent future wars was to establish a global organization that would foster cooperation and collaboration between nations. He also saw the UN as a way to promote human rights and justice and to address global challenges such as poverty, climate change, and armed conflict. These motivations led Roosevelt and other world leaders to work towards the creation of the United Nations and have shaped its mission and accomplishments over the past 75 years (Krasno, 2004).]

[One narrative I identified while researching the history of the creation of the United Nations was the importance of international cooperation and collaboration in promoting peace and security. This narrative can be seen in the organization’s founding principles of peace, justice, and human rights, as well as in the efforts of the international community to address global challenges such as poverty, climate change, and armed conflict. In order to gain an accurate understanding of history, it is important to take into account all perspectives and to use a variety of sources to gain a comprehensive understanding of the events that occurred (Paul, 1995).]

[One perspective that is missing from the narrative of the creation of the United Nations is the perspective of other countries. While the United States is often credited with being instrumental in the creation of the UN, many other countries were also involved in its establishment. For example, the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, and China also played a key role in the organization’s formation. [Researching the historical roots of the United Nations helped to improve my understanding of the current event by providing a better understanding of the motivations and goals of the organization. By studying the historical context and motivations of the organization’s founders, I was able to gain a better understanding of the UN’s purpose and how the organization has evolved over the past 75 years (Amrith et al., 2008). Additionally, researching the UN’s history helped to inform my understanding of its current role in global affairs and how it continues to address global issues such as poverty, climate change, and armed conflict.]

[Questioning one’s assumptions, beliefs, and values can be beneficial to an individual in a variety of ways. First, it can help to broaden one’s perspective and increase their understanding of the world. For example, by questioning one’s beliefs about a particular issue, one may gain insight into the motivations and perspectives of those with different beliefs.
