Pages: 1

Words: 401

Essay

In the picture above, children are playing in the block center, and they have their pets too. The purpose of this block center activity is to explain to the children on the importance of taking good care of their pets. Furthermore, it gives them an opportunity to interact with each other and share their experiences and ideas on what fun activities they do with their pets at home. Creativity is also enhanced in such stage for the 4-year-olds.

The block center has managed to use recycled materials in coming up with something that can be used during the math lesson. The idea is about creativity and at the same time instilling in children the aspect of the addition and having fun handling mathematical problems. The concept is best suited for children between 4 and 5 because they are aware of what addition entails. The concept also fosters aspects of working together and sharing responsibilities and tasks.

Fun Tape Activities

The hands on as we grow ideas is all about what a child can do with lines of tape. This activity is preferably for the 5 year old children because they can be able to do line estimates. The child blows the pom poms using a straw, and it is a fun activity intended to have a child rejuvenated and relaxed. In addition, the purpose of this activity is to encourage the child to concentrate when doing something in order to get good results at the end of the activity.

River Rocks, Leaves, Flowers

Creativity in children is something encouraged and for 4-year-olds, they managed to use the above block center in making different things. For example, some decided to make pieces of chocolate from the rocks and were in a chocolate factory.

The purpose here is to show children that they can be creative anywhere and with whatever they have and come up with something admirable. They are, therefore, used for creative moments and as decorations because they are open-ended materials.

Nature Inspires Play

In this block center, the purpose is to allow students between ages 3 and 5 to explore nature through discovery and creativity. This activity enables children to be creative and imagine of things they have seen through watching cartoons and other animation films. Through this, children are able to work together and solve existing problems that may arise during their play time.
