Research Paper

Being that the course is about IT management and how the aspects of operation and organizational development is related to is function, the idea that is considered as the foundation of this learning is based upon the desire of making the students understand about the most crucial points of handling IT projects and proceeding with the tasks included within their scope. The inclusion of writing activities that improve the capacity of the students to communicate in a formal manner with their future business partners or business alliances creates a more defining pattern as to how both skills and operational approaches work together to create a specifically efficient individual in the field of IT management.

Focusing on handing contract negotiations from the point of bidding towards the point of adhering to the contracts clauses including the ethical points included within the agreement, this course insists on the need of each student to consider quality performance into their personal culture of working process. Handing disputes is also one of the primary consideration to which this course is directed upon. Giving the students the right skills on how to get in and out of a contract in a legal and proper manner equips the students to become more integral in their function as IT managers in the future.

Notably, these practices and ideas correlatively relate to the objectives that the course hopes to accomplish. Providing the students with proper guidance as to how they are to define their function through the statement of their work gives this course a valuable source of training that students themselves could use in later years as they embrace the actual situations that are included in the aspect of pursuing their careers.

Projects and project procurements as well as the issues that define these particular matters are all a part of the important aspects of IT management related to project creation and pursuance. The relative condition of learning that this course provides to its students actually make a clear picture for the students for them to know and experience what they are to handle in the real world of business and IT relations. This is the reason why taking advantage of the course and the ideas it hopes to establish among its students is supposed to be a goal that students ought to follow through. It is the only process by which they would be able to consolidate their position in the IT industry and prove themselves worthy of the title” IT Manager”.

As for my personal understanding of the course, I do think that the core values it taught me regarding the aspects of procurement and contracts increased my understanding on the protocol that IT personnel follow in the actual work environment. I do see that these particular lessons I have learned shall be fully used especially in the course of career that I have chosen. Increasing my writing capacity through this course also allowed me to become more confident in presenting myself formally to possible partners in the future especially involving professional relations that could determine my success in my career. Overall, I consider this course as a stepping stone for a better result of my work in the future. True to its sense, I do realize that this course increases my capacity to make the best out of my skills and further improve the way I understand contracts as well as make a definitive course by which I am able to respond to the clauses included within each agreement. I see this as a source of confidence on the way I shall handle my tasks in the future especially when it comes to responding to legal issues that confide with the process of IT management applications in the real professional world outside the walls of my classroom.
