Essay

The need for self-examination is a necessary point of personal development. Notably, being able to see what is important in one’s being is a basic part of personal growth. The intention of establishing a pattern of improvement among individuals is essential especially if one hopes to create a better path to follow especially for the sake of embracing a new being, a new course of living. The personal result of the questionnaire that I have undergone allowed me to see both my strengths and my weaknesses. In this course of testing and examination, I have learned so much about myself especially in relation to particular dimensions of personal growth that I could give attention to.

Extend of Relationships

Definition

This dimension relates well with how relationships are built and how they are kept for the sake of determining the real capacity of a person to become more effective in making a determinable worth of the connections I make with others.

The first dimension I have personally been examined on is the extent of relationships that I have with my colleagues and my peers. In this aspect of personal development, I have learned that the need to measure my capacity to understand others surrounding me is a necessary part of my personal desire to improve my being. I have realized that the proper concept of seeing how I affect others, their mood, their perception and their thinking affects me in both an individual and social level of growth. This dimension of personal assessment allowed me to understand my capacity to face the different issues of my personality especially as I deal with the challenge of relating with others surrounding me.

Priorities in Planning

Definition

This dimension aims to provide a determination on how I plan to complete my priorities as I become more effective in establishing something that I want to accomplish.

In terms of my priorities in planning, the results of the questionnaires I have responded to pointed out that my culture in planning my activities is able to provide me with an edge especially in completing the tasks I am asked to accomplish. However, when it comes to unexpected situations where important issues are relatively connected to, I feel that I have the capacity to set aside the schedule apart from the matters that I have planned to complete according to schedule.

Decision Making

Definition

This dimension aims to provide a clear and distinct indication on how a person aims to create decisions that are necessary to be made; it also tries to measure how one allows the different elements surrounding them to affect the way they think and perceive on matters.

On the matter of dealing with decisions that I have to make, I have been assessed to give complete attention to relationships that I share with others. I have been measured to be in strong belief of the policies and procedures that I am in need of recognizing. I have been also assessed that I have a healthy vision of the balance between my relationships and my responsibilities which I give attention to accordingly.

Communication

Definition

This dimension aims to provide a distinct indication on how one connects with others especially through verbal communication.

When it comes to the different methods communication that I use to be able to relate to other people, I have been able to see that my approach to connecting with others through communication is good enough that it gives me proper chance to relate the way I think and the way I feel with other individuals surrounding me. When I say something to someone, I make sure that I mean what I say and I say what I mean hence allowing me to provide the people I converse with a sense of satisfaction and assurance that I will certainly do what I can to make sure that I am able to provide them the proper meaning I wish to send them.

Accountability

Definition

This dimension aims to determine how one becomes fully accountable and fully responsible for everything that he does and every decision he undergoes in life.

In relation to how I view my accountability to what I have done and how others are affected by such decisions, I have been assumed to give high regard to myself, my family and everything and everyone else who are connected to me. This connection of accountability allows me to see to it that I handle my decisions effectively especially in consideration with how I make sure that such decisions become valuable enough to define my goals and my desires to provide a sense of development to the people that I care about.

Personal Status

Definition

This dimension is dedicated towards determining how one values the real worth of status that he has against others and how others see such status as a value of determined being as well.

In my personal view of the status I have against others, I have personally been observed to give high regard to matters that define my worth according to social criticisms. I have the possibility to be strongly affected by what the social norms suggest. It could be noted that it is because of this understanding that I often take on the process of dealing with situations based on what others say and not necessarily on what I actually want to embrace.

Basing from the questionnaires that were used to assess my personal being, I have understood that I have a lot of things to do and consider especially when it comes to improving my behavior as well as the way I relate to others surrounding me. I do feel that there are instances when I could be fully capable of defining my full potential as an individual, however, there are also some instances when I actually feel that social context of truth and norms affect my decisions accordingly. As a result, I am being hindered from realizing what I could actually do based on the matters that strongly affect my being as a person.

As noted from the results, I have a strong need to gauge my capacity to improve as an individual and become more effective in relation to the way I handle problems as they come along my way. Remaining calm and positive at most times shall help me become more effective in directing my life and my being as an individual who knows how to handle issues of balance especially when it comes to mandating the behavior of others according to what I feel as an individual as well. Relating my personality with others as I face the different challenges that life offers me with, I get the idea that it is with my capacity to keep the balance of my views and the performance I have when it comes to defining my role as an individual and as a member of the society that I am able to realize my full potential, thus making a distinct impact on how I see myself and how I am able to relate to others accordingly. Overall, taking the questionnaire gave me a more meaningful understanding of who I am, what I am and what I can do. It also gave me a chance to see to it that I adjust my attitude towards the different situations I deal with accordingly. Overall, I agree strongly on what the questionnaire results imply on my being especially in consideration with the way I handle my responsibilities and my connection with others. I do feel that the need to improve is necessary especially when it comes to making a distinct impact on how others think about me and how they react to my personal being.
