Championing a fight dance theme, the DanceBrazil presented at the Joyce Theater has  been opened to last for at least a two-week season that specifically aims to entice the audience into giving deeper meaning to the dance movements that performers are noted for. The presentation of this show has started in 1977. With dancers kicking and using their whole body to get engaged in a choreographed fight, the overall concept of the show is dependent on the desire of putting up a movement presentation that is fully able to engage bodily movement into a deep story.

To make the presentation more general, it could be realized how the director, Mr. Vieira, made a distinct impact on how the presentation would be more generalized and specifically reflective of the overall culture of humans all around the globe. Nevertheless, he felt that putting in more Afro-Brazilian movements into the dance choreography would make it more authentic yet general in terms of determining the real meaning of each movement.

When it comes to the musical arrangements used, the director specifically made it sure that the entire presentation would be specifically directed towards showing a more lively indication of the story’s message. Hence, the inculcation of live music along with the movements specifically give the whole play a rather defined worth especially in determining the emotional value of the entire dance-chains used in the play. The ending of the performance was assured to provide a big act that would bring about a sense of distinction on the part of the viewers as they see through the value of the play in being identified as a cultural act that represents the people of Brazil, their dance, their life and the way they relatively show the general value of global dance culture.

Through the use of Batuke arrangement, the director imposes on the use of numerous musical instruments that enhance the dance that accompanies it. The dancers’ lively movements and the costumes they wore during the finale of the presentation was able to pull the whole act together and make a distinct impact on how the movements could actually define the message of the dances depending on how the audience interprets each specific act in the play.

Composed of classical gliding, sensual walks and flights on the stage, the whole presentation is just simply alluring and awe inspiring. The movements of the dancers could be considered extremely professional that they are able to bring about a full story alive through merely dancing to the music. Lighting and the backdrops used on stage specifically give an indicative impact on how the overall presentation is handled. The overall collection of the different dances into the act makes the whole play specifically reflective of the culture it hopes to show to the audience

Overall, the presentation of DanceBrazil could be considered an excellent collection of dance moves that are able to determine the value of the culture that is interpreted in the act. The fighting moves and the acrobatics are all considered addition to the uniqueness of the show and the way it is able to send out the message of artistic authenticity to the watching audience. Tickling the creative thoughts of the viewing audience, the show is able to bring about a sense of realization among the viewers in an aim of making it easier for them to gain connection to the whole play in a more personal scale. The way the dancers grooved into the musical arrangements specifically create a respective value on the part of how the play is recognized by the audience and the critics of the said show.
