Essay

Considering that my project is related to the option of developing an education-program related to postpartum depression that would help new mothers avoid the pitfalls of the said type of depression, it is best that I utilize the directive process of involving random individuals into the question and survey process. This will eliminate the aspect of bias that could make the research too centered or at some point even quite dependent on the profiling process that could both hurt the participants’ perception of the situation, thus insisting on the disrespect that might be seen in relation to such issue.

After randomly selecting possible participants to the survey and interview process, seeing through the garnered results on who really needs to be fully assisted is what needs to follow as the next step to the methodology. Gauging their situation through the responses they provide, individuals showing patterns of behavioral change after child birth are to be examined accordingly. They would be isolated from the group who do not present the symptoms and the trial educational program on dealing with postpartum disease shall be presented to them. After a week or two, the participants shall be observed through presenting them with a second wave of questions for survey and response approach. Notably, this process is expected to make a difference on the perception of the participants towards improving the way they handle their dilemmas after giving birth. After which, the data collected shall be measured accordingly thus imposing on what the information gathered insist on how improvements have been made and imposed on those who were willing to take into account matters that were taught to them during the program.

Partly, this research shall also incorporate elements of qualitative research as it would intend to identify with the behavioral changes that the participants have undergone through time, comparing their response to the situation during the time when they were still not being taught through the program to the time when they have already undergone the said changes accordingly. This aspect shall increase the value of both reliability and validity of the information presented through the research.
