The purpose of the website

The web site has been created for a business purpose. Its work is to advertise some products which are on sale. The products that are found on this site include cameras, computers and games. The kind of the promotion it is doing is a kind of the bait and switch technique. The bait and switch technique is used by the retailers or the sellers of a certain product to win the customers. The sellers give the clients the substitute products instead of the original products.  For instant a game retail shop will promote a game console package at a price considerably less then the optional retail price to bait the customers. Nevertheless, the price does not contain the sale of necessary accessories such as cables, controllers and memory cards. The buyer is then pressurized to switch to another comprehensive package at a much more costly price.

The apparent target of the Website

The colors used on the site are much attractive and the prices on the products are also very cheap. The site’s main target is the IT consultants. It also targets the large firms which are ready to take the loss just because of trading at a low price in order to win the market. But the problem comes when they take this opportunity of a loss leader technique to the sales opportunity around the world, bringing in a small team planners in a pre-sales capacity to close the deals. But the core problem is that they normally do not have enough seasoned planners to go around.

Advantages of the website

Such business which are found on the sites are particularly common in shopping areas where there are an enormous number of shops that sells approximately the same range of products and due to the high level of opposition, retailers often resort to creative but not completely ethical nor legal tactics to recover their business. Unprincipled business practices such as bait and switch are not easy to eliminate despite the numerous rules and policy of advertising. For instance, the sale of forged software is clearly unethical and against the law and can be dealt with and restricted in a fairly uncomplicated manner. On the other hand, scam tactics such as the bait and switch technique, while unethical, is not entirely illegal and therefore, much harder to regulate than those that violate the law out rightly.

The funny idea concerning the Website

The seller tends to advertise a product but in the real sense, when the client comes to purchase it, he or she is given another product which is not as the same one that was advertised. Many of the businesses have made a profit and have benefited a lot using this type of bait and switch technique. Many of them have recovered some of the money of the products that they thought will not sell in the market.

The Bottom- line evaluation of the site

The bait and switch technique contains the making of optimized and a normal page in the search engine which is regarded to as a spam. This is made for all the user agents under the same URL to use it. This is why today you get that many of the online retailers use this kind of technique to advertise their products, especially those who are involved in the promotion of the web and the adult web marketing strategy. The sites entice their main clients who purchase their products online through the use of a doorway pages. The sites that sell the adults products at the recommended retail price normally use the traditional method of the bait and switch technique. When the client of a certain product confirms what he or she wanted via a phone call, what he or she gets is that it does not include any accessories or features which are always sold at a much higher price separately from the phone. The main concern of the large firms to sell what they have in the current market is to win the probably much more profitable follow-on implementation business. The large firms are ready to take the loss just because of trading at a low price in order to win the market. If this kind approach is taken, then the large firms are also involved in the bait and switch technique like the one seen on the site that is from Kenya.
