Words: 381

Essay

In order for our company to have effective leadership, all the employees need to be able to and know how to make good decisions. If this skill is acquired in a timely and well-considered way, the leader can help a team to get closer to a great and well-deserved success. However, if the employees hesitate or make bad decisions, a team can be prone to failure. The recommendations in this section can possibly help our workers to make the most excellent decisions with the information they have at hand, plan the possible consequences of decisions, exercise the significance of individual factors, and select the best strategy.

Brainstorming

Brainstorming concentrates on generating queries and questions about a suggestion or idea in a logical and comprehensive way. It is a helpful tool to defend a decision making or process solving processes by assisting in understanding all characteristics and opportunities more fully. “It is particularly helpful when you need to break out of stale, established patterns of thinking, so that you can develop new ways of looking at things. This can be when you need to develop new opportunities, where you want to improve the service that you offer, or when existing approaches just aren’t giving you the results you want” (Brainstorming).

Critical Thinking

Critical thinking is the way of scrupulous and skillful utilization of data, knowledge, examination and analysis to guide decisions and actions. Critical thinking may help to identify, define, and then clarify the problem and generate innovative ideas. Moreover, critical think, if applied correctly and clearly described to each employee, may help them use logic that will put aside the stress of an instant emotional response when problematic issues arise. Needless to say, critical thinking gives a boost to generating ideas and presenting them to a manager.

Leadership

Another way to involve employees into decision making process is for the managers to identify group leaders for them to guide selected teams. “The basis of good leadership is honorable character and selfless service to your organization” (Concepts of Leadership). Those group leaders are to report to the managers presenting newly generated ideas, proposing innovative group plans, and thus, giving chance to all workers to take part in decision making process.
