Dependable

My healthcare team constantly depended on my efficiency, thoroughness, and overall work-ethic. This is because my ability to complete my tasks was essential to the success of the hospital. I made sure that every patient felt comfortable since many of them were anxious and scared of the hospital. The healthcare system relies on a team effort and I made being a team player a priority. Having my team members rely on me allowed them to be more effective at their jobs which is the most important aspect of a hospital; providing the best services possible.

Willingness to learn

I am a proactive, hands-on learner by nature. I have a strong desire to learn everything I can because I want to be successful in the healthcare field and be a valuable asset to your medical center. For example, last week a patient was having troubles breathing. I called in a rapid response team and I made sure that I stayed available to get anything that they needed. I was able to observe the whole procedure, start to finish. I absorbed everything I could because I knew that one day that would be me responding to an emergency.

Dedicated

The fact that I work fulltime and attend school fulltime successfully shows that I love this field. On top of this, I find at least one day a month to volunteer with the Miracle League of the Triangle. This team brings children and young adults with special needs together to play baseball. I initially became involved with this organization after I brought my sister to a game. She also has special needs and she showed me the importance of happiness. Now I volunteer because I am truly a part of their organization and want to continue making fun opportunities like this available.
