The case clearly outlines the various levels in which Schneider electric represents in its methods of diversity management. First, the work force focused level of managing diversity is evident at Schneider electric. It is apparent that the workforce of Schneider electric is drawn from various quotas of the company’s population. The workforce constitutes of employees from various ethnic backgrounds. It is important to note that the company employs even people with various disabilities. Gender parity is an important aspect that warrants consideration while hiring people in this organization. This case clearly shows that the management of the organization gives priority to the people from the ethnic minorities. In this regard, women are engaged in top management of the organization. The celebration- focused level is also clearly outlined in the case in the sense that the company favors candidates from the ethnic minority backgrounds. The out-thinking competition level is also evident in the case. The Marco polo programme that enhances the improvement of women’s position within the company enhances this. It also enhances the cultural exchange in that the programme fosters the recruitment of young people in one country then assigns them duties in Schneider locations within the foreign countries for the 2-year duration. When the recruits embark,they are able to turn around the management of the organization by applying their intercultural acquired skills. It is also apparent that Schneider Electric also integrates the young people into employment as a means of managing diversity. This enhances the young people’s acquisition of the work experience hence their ability to participate at higher levels of decision-making, which are meant for the senior members of the organization in most cases. The objectives of the organization also encourage the respect of diversity amongst all the stakeholders of the organization.
