Pages: 2

Words: 564

Essay

Throughout the age of time the world has been metamorphosed by a few individuals that have found within themselves the capabilities to influence others whether it be for the better or for worse. Executing carful detailed analysis within these individuals’ lives we find that most of them exhibit inherently similar behaviors which we can attribute to their vast success in gaining the capability to make decisions for the vast majority. Regardless of the context in which we seek to analyze this situation we find that those same behaviors are constant throughout leaders across the whole spectrum of professions and is most prominent within one field in particular, business. Therefore, in this upcoming of my intent towards a doctoral degree in business leadership I shall entail this behavior that has been very much instigated in me and express how I will strive to enunciate this same resilience within my projected studies at the University of South Africa.

Many individuals argue that, within business, it is most necessary to have great proficiency in the subject matter which is the main component of the company in order to be successful and have fruitful growth within that company. I, on the other hand, propose that business is not based entirely on fundamental knowledge of the products and how to manage them but rather on people and how to make them see that they are part of a team that has a common goal and makes that goal a reality with collaborative effort from each member of the team. Leadership within business is without a doubt the most crucial skill to have and is what makes advancement and entrepreneurship possible. Without people that see the greater picture and strive to make goals a reality there can be no true progress and advancement. It is for this reason that I intend to pursue a doctoral degree in business from the University of South Africa. Throughout my years of study I have come to appreciate certain values that are present within leaders that have contributed positively to this world and therefore I seek to make contributions to society with those same values and with my knowledge in business leadership.

Leaders are not born but forged through extensive interpersonal relations and through my field of study I plan to study and research upon what makes leaders who they are and what attitudes have granted them their positions. In past history, with the leaders that have been aforementioned we can see that their expression of genuine care, whether it be falsified or actually true, has granted these individuals the trust of many. Incorporating neurological behaviors and alterations through simulated settings with randomized participants would be a major focus within my research in order to fundamentally conceptualize and determine the emotions that are expressed by different individuals by different settings. From this we can then move on to discover how leaders in business use some of these attitudes to their advantage as they have extensive knowledge of the human behavior and dealing with people. In fostering a culture of knowledge I shall seek to attain to the furthest extent a working conceptualization on the basis of being an effective leader. I shall then move on to attribute my own studies and research in order to make a more visual understanding of the leadership model and instill and exhibit those attitudes that make current world leaders effective.
