Pages: 1

Words: 303

Essay

Concept A: Integrity

Identify /define: – Integrity. This is defined as a personal choice, an uncompromising and predictably consistent commitment to honor moral, ethical, spiritual and artistic values and principles’ (Killinger, 2010, p 7). From an ethical perspective integrity means honesty, truthfulness, reliability and doing the right deed for the right treason.

Your professional discipline: – My professional discipline belongs to health care management, specifically related to the health informatics section of the administration.

How applicable? This concept is a quality, which every health care professional ought to practice and eventually formulate as part of his/her character. In my professional practice daily integrity becomes a major expectation interacting with the public as well as pateints/ clients and staff. They all expect that a manager be truthful, trustworthy and honest(Roussel, 2014). Concept B: High Performance Level

Identify /define: – High Performance Level can be considered a popular healthcare jargon. This is particularly relevant in this present health care reform environment, where excellent performance is the desired outcome. Importantly, high performance level refers to where achievement in every aspect of the professional’s responsibilities is consistently and substantially beyond what is normally expected. Significant weakness do not surface in high level performance profiles.

Your professional discipline: – My professional discipline belongs to health care management, specifically related to the health informatics section of the administration

How applicable? In twenty first century health care practices managers have to be the high performance level catalyst within the organization. If management is functioning at a weakness level, then employees subsequently will adopt the same attitude on the job. Ultimately, goals cannot be achieved and production decreases. In a sensitive business as health care, high level performance, in my opinion is mandatory.
