Essay

E-cigarettes are part of the “electronic nicotine delivery systems” (ENDs) that allow users to enjoy the pleasures of smoking while reducing the risks and negative consequences associated with traditional smoking (Feeney et al., 1). Many individuals in developed countries suffer from smoking addiction, which impacts their health and families. However, developing countries record the lowest smoking rates (Harsberger et al., 367). The introduction of e-cigarettes is believed to reduce addiction and allows many youths to quit smoking for a long time. Many countries have adopted measures and supported e-smoking since it has helped many individuals to stop smoking (Worku et al., 2). However, some countries and health professionals believe it has no effective measures to reduce smoking. E-cigarettes are more effective than traditional cigarettes since they have toxins and are due to higher regulation.

Traditional smoking has lower quality control than e-smoking, making it very dangerous to consumers and increasing their risks of developing secondary conditions like cancer. The bodies in charge of traditional smoke have less access to the substance, making it more harmful for consumption (Bond, 46). The e-smoking has a high potential to reduce the arms and negative consequences since there is higher regulation and monitoring of the contents. Many nations have imposed measures on the product, which help regulate its components, thus increasing its importance to the public. Therefore, consumers can only access regulated and valid products that reduce their risk of developing the illness. Therefore, e-cigarettes are very effective and less likely to harm consumers due to the possibility of regulation and quality control.

In addition, e-cigarettes offer potential harm reduction and reduce addiction rates compared to traditional smoking. Individuals consuming traditional have challenges stopping the character since it has highly addictive power and contains chemicals that make users unable to stop smoking the substance. Data showed that users who consume traditional tobacco have lower chances of dropping and quitting for a long time (Feeney et al., 4). However, individuals smoking e-cigarette has huge chances of stopping the habit for a long-term period. A study also revealed that many adults in smoking cessation programs applied various methods to stop the vice. However, using traditional smoking alone did not work for them. Many reported mixing the two smoking techniques and finally settled on e-smoking, improving their results. Nicotine therapy allows the clients to participate in e-smoking to help in smoking cessation. The study also revealed that switching between traditional and electronic smoking promoted complete smoking cessation.

Also, UK doctors have approved that e-smoke has more benefits than harm compared to the traditional ones. the substance has no residence like the traditional ones. It has lower tar levels, making it more efficient than the traditional (Worku et al., 8). The study revealed that many users reported fewer effects and negative consequences than when they consumed traditional smoke. This made many regions prescribe the e-smoke during therapies to help in reducing the harm associated with smoking. The older generation has adopted the smoking pattern to help them reduce their intake due to its higher level of satisfaction. The individuals registered in many therapies who applied the product reported a higher recovery rate than those who only consumed the traditional smoke.

Furthermore, vaping helps in reducing environmental pollution caused by traditional smoking. Many traditional smokers may feel uncomfortable in public while consuming the substances and have restricted places to smoke them. The smoke may affect different individuals in public, causing turmoil worldwide. An increased number of smokers means more smoke will be released into the atmosphere, thus causing pollution. However, vaping has less effect on the environment since no or less smoke is released into the atmosphere, reducing pollution and effects on the people around. This makes it healthier than traditional smoking, allowing individuals to pollute the environment, thus causing turmoil. Therefore, e-cigarettes should be allowed to reduce the effects of traditional smoking, affecting their families and individuals in the surrounding.

Also, e-smoking has lower addiction rates compared to traditional smoking. Both substances contain nicotine which is very addictive to the consumer. Traditional smoking has high nicotine content compared to e-smoking, making it more harmful to consumers. The nicotine in traditional smoke has high percentages and concentrations, making consumers vulnerable to smoking for long periods and many years (Bond, 43). The current e-smoke has reduced the nicotine content and helped addicted individuals to quit smoking. The FDA has approved e-smoking as the best alternative for addicts to stop smoking. The companies have reduced the composition of their products, thus allowing the users to have a consumption rate. Due to its less addiction rate, smoking may help the adult generation to reduce their smoking rate and become more productive around the globe.

Furthermore, the cost per use of the e-cigarette is lower than a traditional cigarette. The amount spent by traditional smoke compared to e-smoke varies with higher levels, making it suitable for the population. Developed countries suffer from the burden of smoking, with many men addicted to traditional smoking. They spend much cash on smoking, affecting their families and development projects. The families may lack meals and education since their parents are addicted to smoking. However, applying e-smoking will reduce the amount spent on smoking and thus receive families and help build the nation.

However, both smoking models have severe consequences on the lives of humans. For example, both traditional and e-smoking expose individuals to harm. The substances in the cigarette may lead to addiction which will interfere with the normal routine of individuals. Both cases have negative impacts. Both can cause harm to the lungs due to similar components. For example, symptoms of nicotine are similar in both cases and will affect the consumer. Both nicotine in the smokes are toxic and will result in elevated blood pressure, thus causing a heart attack. They both lead to lung diseases since the vapor is directed to the lungs. Most of the principle of smoking is to introduce hot air into the lungs; thus, the substances accumulate in the lungs exposing the consumer to different conditions. The e-smoking is also addictive as traditional and may not be the best option for individuals who want to quit. It is only recommended for the adults in therapy sessions who have decided to stop the behavior. It may have negative outcomes for the youth.

In conclusion, e-cigarette has some benefits that make them ideal for the population. For example, it is recommended in smoking therapies to help prevent smoking among addicts. It also has a cost per use compared to traditional smoking, making it ideal for families struggling with budgeting procedures. They will have less cash for smoking and caring for their families. Studies have shown that those who adopt e-smoking have higher chances of quitting. However, both smoking techniques have negative consequences. They lead to poor lung health and addiction challenges. Also, the technique may only benefit the old who want to quit smoking but will negatively affect the youth. Therefore, individuals should not encourage any form of smoking since they can still harm humanity.
