Words: 302

Essay

My participation in this course will not only equip me with skills and knowledge to handle children, but also promote my attitude development and practices in classroom. These dimensions will help me to advance in pathways of success and learning. With proper attitude, I will manage to curb fear of failing (Morrison, 2014). Classroom practices will assist me to attain the much needed motivation of teaching diverse students. My future teaching practice will be a success because I am aware that as a teacher, I am supposed to offer learners with guidance as opposed to forcing them to fit in my way of teaching.

I will take with me numerous things from the course. Firstly, confidence is very vital whenever a teacher wants to try out a new skill. One should not focus on judging the undesirable traits; rather, the focus should be on learning. Considering that one is meant to handle children, patience is of essence (Morrison, 2014). This course has equipped me with appropriate skills of handling young ones, most of which are applicable even at a home setting. I take with me different approaches that I can apply to make early childhood learning a success.

In terms of professional growth, I have learnt how to design a curriculum for early childhood, and how to evaluate learners. I have also increased my knowledge on management in classroom I terms of organizing instructional materials, appropriate lesson planning and paperwork (Morrison, 2014). I have learnt that this profession requires a lot of flexibility, which in most cases challenging but equally rewarding. While delivering, I am aware that it all begins with establishing a desirable environment. Learners at this stage need some time to do exploration, interact, and play.
