Essay

It gives me great honor to have been a student of Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership. Very often students of other colleges admire my deportment and ask which college I am attending. Proudly, I would sayRichard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership. This college is special to me because it afforded opportunities to graduate with excellence from a college of distinguishable caliber. The mission statement confirms its commitment to ensuring that students accomplish their goals.

Essentially, the vision of fostering a diverse dynamiceducational leadership network coincides with my goal attainment when entering this college. Further, this college embraces learners globally by empowering them to acheive their highest potential in teaching and technology (Walden University, 2015).  My personal mission for treating all students with dignity and respect; helping them attain their full potential, ensuring that they make a difference in the world and maintain high expectations are most valuable to me as a graduate student.

As I environed myself graduating from Walden University reflecting on the college ‘svision statement became inevitable. The statement relates to access of high-caliber programs. These programs enable learners to graduate as scholar-practitioners. Ultimately, as leaders we inspire, influence and impact diverse communities. This is achieved by designing programs that empower students to face current challenges to open educational opportunities internationally(Walden University, 2015).

Consequently, as I look back on my journeyit can profoundly conclude that the expectations of Walden and its culture of scholarship has immensely facilitated the promotion my personal professional, and academic growth. Today I can confidently face my community and abroad knowing that Walden University throughthe Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership has given me the tools to function with excellence as a teacher and leader.
