There is much organizational work in which educational leaders are engaged in the process of organizing the working environment, distributing roles and functions of executives as well as implementation of the educational goals and objectives into the schooling practice. A great number of issues arise in the process of such organizational work, so the prime task of the educational leader is to optimize the organizational activities and to prioritize certain aspects of its revelation in the practical aspect of work. They include the construction of a corresponding power model within an educational organization and the choice of proper reasoning techniques that assist in the introduction of particular policies and tasks.

Starting the discussion of reasoning, one may pay attention to the key factors that have to be listed in terms of their priority, including position, roles, authority, legitimacy, and influence. It turns out to be more effective to put the authority first in the rank because of the crucial role of the leader determining the direction in which the educational organization will move in its activities. The second in rank is possibly the legitimacy of the leader’s and the school’s activities, since the whole work of a school should correspond with the standards at the state level, the commonly adopted practices and methods. Then the position should be taken a proper account of because of the true necessity to clarify the distribution of responsibilities within an organization. The following issue will include roles that will be distributed by individuals taking the corresponding positions. Finally, the influence is concluding the list because of it being an effect of role and position distribution rather than their cause.

Speaking about the model of power than can be adopted within an educational organization by the leader, one should note that the most effective ones may include the persuasion power, expert power and rationality. It is hard to base educational practices on coercion as it is ineffective in terms of education. The design of power relations should be optimal to promote creativity, initiative and commitment, so the chosen aspects seem to be much more appropriate for application.
