Effects of stress on university student’s performance negatively

Womble, (2010) explores the role that stress pays in impacting academic achievement for college students. The author emphasizes the importance of economic factors and socioeconomic status has subsequently has important implication on employment of the student. Students involved in working programs are cited as the worst hit in as far as stress is concerned. The author indicates the need for intervention to help the students out of this situation and proposes that family members, friends as well as professional staff as the most important stakeholders in thin respect.
