Pages: 1

Words: 303

Essay

Management functions and success of a business firm or entity is fundamental in determining the survival and success of a company. The internal and external factors affect the management functions and competitiveness of a firm in the market share. Wal-Mart international is faced by this aspect while striving to integrate these factors to its management functions (Dransfield, 2004).

The competitors are some external aspects that influence planning and organizing. Wal-Mart stores have developed its organizational strategy with the consideration of competitors at local and international markets. It has considered to a great extend and labour relations a factor that increased its perception unlike the first where the neighbourhood viewed the stores as no woman employee. However, the advance in technology, consumer preference, shopping trends and globalization has affected modes of organizations in Wal-Mart where advertising and shopping has advance to online system, which is an external factor that competitors are embracing. It helps in establishing a desired market share and even proper leadership of the employees through proper channels of communication and duty delegation (Aswathappa & Dash 2007).

Its internal aspect of proper finance and governance system has boosted its control function because of delegation and departments to ease the leading function. The firm have private label stores brands where products are reduced through contracts with key manufacturers thus proper organization and planning. Proper establishment of the neighbourhood markets has enhanced leadership in management because this provides the gap between the supercenters and discount stores, which in turn boost proper organization and control of product delivery to the market. The key internal factor that builds proper control, planning and leading is the operation in the division system where three divisions are developed.
