Coursework

Epidemiology, per se, is noted as the process by which experts study the emergence of a particular health issue and the creation of resolutions designed to respond said matters accordingly (Smetanin, et al, 2005). Through time, epidemiology of healthcare issues have become the central source of development and investigative progress especially when it comes to dealing with disease outbreaks. It could be identified that through clinical research, the study on epidemiology of particular healthcare issues and health phenomena becomes more effective especially when it comes to determining the pattern of development that an ailment takes into account.

However, as Savits, Poole and Miller impose, epidemiology and its study do not provide as much information as needed especially in determining the causation of a health issue. This is why it is important to improve the use of epidemiology as a source of competent course of solution that intends to resolve health issues that often cause public disturbances (Morabia, 2004). The improvement could imply on the creation of better systems that could support the need to pinpoint members of the community who are directly affected by the ailment and who are assumed to be easily attacked by the virus or any other elements causing the emergence of the ailment. Public knowledge and public guidelines provided through epidemiology of particular ailments give the people a better chance of protecting themselves from being included in the number of victims of such emerging situations (Savitz, 2013). Notably, with good epidemiological studies serving as the basis of improving healthcare situation in communities, the outbreaks of particular ailments could be controlled accordingly. It is with this approach that the lives of the members of the community could be preserved at a better pace. The capacity of the public healthcare agencies to provide what is needed by the community is largely improved through the utilization of good study of health epidemiology.
