Definitively, ethosrefers to the credibilityor trustworthiness of the speaker or writer conveys through the style and tone of the communicationon the writing. This is also achieved through the way the writer or speaker offer arguments to contrary opinions. An academic ethos can be defined as the way in which an individual identifies themselves in their writing and portray an appropriate image in the words they write that would prove worthy to the readers of their writings.

My academic ethos focuses on the need for awareness of obesity at childhood. The aim is to promote responsiveness to the required standards and moral right for a child to live a healthy life with no ailments resultant from obesity. The context of the paper puts emphases on the appropriate tasks that the governmental healthcare organizations are responsible to carry out in order to minimize or prevent child obesity in the United States.

Purposely, the ethos in research paper portrays that importantly, prevention of obesity should start from the ground level. This would be accomplishedthrough positive advertising and awareness creation of steps to take in minimizing chances of obesity in children. The audience which mainly comprises the government organizations is offered the propositions of the optional resolutions towards the course of preventing child obesity while at the same time saving on the overall healthcare budget in the long run.

To heighten on my academic ethos, the focus of the writing will be diverged and expanded to be able to reach a wide range audience. This would include guiding parents, and involve a deeper context of increasing the parents’ awareness of ways to prevent obesity in their children through advising them on healthcare techniques and policies.

Another way that I will improvise on the ethos is my audience a snapshot of the long term benefits of preventing obesity that will save on their budget expenditure on healthcare while maintaining their health fitness.
