As for this case, an evaluation of the current library resources available in the area with regards early childhood education shall be given specific attention to.

Some specific references are to be pointed out in this presentation and gauged for the way they are most applicable in improving the ways by which early childhood education is handled in schools and even at home today. The first reference to note is the Early Childhood Education: An International Encyclopedia. Released in 2007, this reading material provides an updated information on how early childhood education could be dealt with, especially in relation to how new innovations in education apply well in making a definite sense of how young individuals are to be supported with their formal and informal learning needs. Another reference is entitled Introduction to Early Childhood Education: Preschool Through Primary Grades;  authored by Jo Ann Brewer, this material gives a distinct presentation on how youngsters ought to be assisted in the way they learn and the way they grasp the different conditions of learning development in the world today. The author clearly points out some tips in this material as she hopes to give families and educators with the tools they need in order to support the learning requirements of the children.

English Classes are program put in space specifically to teach English to young children under the age of 8 that may need developing English language skills. The program is for young children where English is a second language as well as babies and toddlers developing their English language skills for the first time.

KidZone is an excellent resource for kids that nurture writing ability in young children, under the age of 8 years old, by exposing them to books, websites, and other resources that promote content written from a child’s perspective.

First 5 Years is a program at the Brooklyn library that breaks down steps towards literacy for children through set resources, such as ready set kindergarten, a program to help get kids ready for school, and ABCmouse.com a website that allows children access to online early learning programs. The Big Brooklyn Playdate is a program that encourages child literacy in toddlers in babies, and allows parents to bring their babies ages birth-5 years old to come learn songs and listen to book readings.  Kidsmobile is a resource offered by Brooklyn Library. It’s essentially a children’s library on wheels that travels to communities for children to gain exposure to literature. These programs are where good and effective teaching comes from. Aiding the parents with the necessary suggestive activities they could use to improve the concept of assisting the young ones to embrace progress at an early age, these references are designed to make a difference on how early childhood education is viewed as the primary foundation of personal improvement among individuals as they grow towards extensive forms of maturity. The effectiveness of these references would however depend on the ways by which the data found them are applied directly by the individuals using them as source of reflective information.

To note, besides the books, the library also offers a regular weekly scheduled story reading for children ages 5 to 9 years of age. During this time, some volunteers and even the parents could be part of the session. Parents and teachers are also set for seminars and instructional lectures every now and then depending on the public service lectures that the library has set for a particular schedule.
