The purpose of the website is very clear with the message that thee American Nurses Association (ANA) is professional organization that promotes and advances the nursing profession by setting high standards of nursing while promoting the rights of nurses around the world. In addition, their secondary purpose is to represent nursing industry by lobbying the Congress concerning any healthcare issues that impact the nursing industry.

The nursing website that will be evaluated is the American Nursing Association(ANA) (2015, which is a professional nursing education that keeps nursing informed concerning career counseling, certification, education, nursing leadership, and nursing professional membership.

The strengths of website are the ease of finding pertinent education about a specific subject in nursing. The website is full of useful content, links and access to many other benefits for nursing such as discounts, books, videos, legal assistance and educational counseling for nurses. The information is very clear and precise to the subject of nursing and pertinent to educating nurse of America. The website content is very easy on the eyes with bright colors and very well organized for potential members.

The weakness of the website is e-store that did not have enough protection of my personal data and credit card to order items online. The membership did not ask me to create password test questions nor did the website use verification that I was not a robot. The nurses would not feel confident ordering books, programs and items online because a lack of security and protection of personal information. The website was mostly content that would engaged the customer however, in today’s demand of interactivity with clients the website needs a live chat so the customer can ask questions. There are some many different wonderful products that I had a few questions that I needed to be answered immediately rather than sending an email.

The website has an excellent web design that makes it easy to find information and the website has the current date which shows the information is new information. The membership site is friendly with easy membership choices and the membership information is well worth the fee. Overall the American Nursing Association(ANA) is one the most informative websites and they providing a platform for learning for practicing nurses and other non-nursing professionals. According to Allnurses (2015) the ANA is one the best resources for nursing to utilize during their careers and the membership is well worth the membership dues.
