Evolve Sex Film, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 309

Essay

This is a significant sex education film. Incidentally, viewers’ first expectation when looking at the footage would anticipate a series of human sexual activities. However, the producers’ motive was quite obvious after the few episodes. The value of sex was clearly articulated. From the beginning it was communicated that sex was mainly for reproductive purposes and, perhaps, this remains the reason among certain species of animals. It was further cited where sharks were the first animalsto use sex as a means of reproducing the species. The extent to which sex was used to accomplish this activity meant destroying parts of the reproductive organs.

Other examples such as bees and the greatest cockroaches were offered for someone viewing to understand the true value. This is a very educational film, offering an evolutionary perspective of sexual evolution and its importance to reproduction.. Essentially, reproducing the species at a very good chance of passing on the best genetic traits is what matters, ultimately. Sex seems to ensure that this occurs. Reproductive activities are responsible for the continuation of life. According to the film after reproduction has been fulfilled then some species take advantage of sexual enjoyment without being compelled to reproduce.

This film impacted me into understanding how  currenthuman sexually practices seem to be different from other animals . In reality humans do not value sex for its primary reproduction purposes. Same sex unions is one such example. Sex has become an intimate experinces to fulfill a human emotional need for excitement. Also, the significance of human sex organs in sex and reproduction was very informative. While the producers, ultimately took time to mention the evolution of various cultural beliefs relating sex and reproduction, my view is that we live in a different world.. In modern societies where fathers/ mothers abandon their children maybe, there is a  sexual contact  displacement creating insensitivity to their offspring.
