Fallacious Argument, Essay Example

Essay

Although the idea has been rejected by many women, females are inferior to males. Science and history has proven that women do not have the mental and physical strength of their male counterparts.

Females have always been identified as emotional beings. Whereas men can lose a basketball game and remain friends with the victor, women cannot lose such game without later having a fallout with the successor. In the average relationship, it is the woman who requires love, acceptance, and respect from her partner; the typical male can go without these things. Women need a shoulder to cry on at the movies while men need more popcorn. Females require a mate willing to listen to their day’s troubles whereas men do a good job of keeping such problems a secret. Wives need emotional security while husbands need material possessions. Successful marriages accommodate for women’s ever-changing emotional needs.

Aside from being overly emotional, women are also victimized more than men. In 2005, 1,181 women were murdered in domestic violence disputes. On the average day, at least three women fall prey to physical abuse in a relationship and 600 females are sexually assaulted by strangers. On the contrary, sexual assault among males is rare and few men are the victims in intimate relationships. So while women are commonly assaulted by their partners, men rarely experience such oppression.

Although the simple solution to victimization problems would be for women to fight back, females do not have the physical and mental strength to retaliate. As emotional beings, women refuse to become detached from someone that they love and adore. Several police reports indicate that women will remain with a lover despite gruesome treatment. Whereas a man will not tolerate physical abuse and will leave after the first occurrence, a woman will remain faithful until a friend, close family member, or doctor convinces her that the relationship is not healthy. Even after being convinced, some women will stay with their partners until death. Whereas men can easily detach themselves from dangerous situations, women find it hard and even impossible to remove themselves from peril when they are emotionally involved with the abuser.

In addition to being emotionally attached, some women will not retaliate because they are physically weak. Scientific studies have proven that males are typically bigger than females. The average unfit woman has 10% more body fat than an unfit man. Females also have smaller hearts than males which prevents them from enduring strenuous exercise segments. When measuring upper body strength, females are found to have 50% less mass than males. Such lack of strength prevents a woman from prevailing in an altercation with a man.

Although they try to equate themselves with men, women are the weaker sex. History has proven that women are emotionally driven and science gives evidence of a smaller muscle build in females. Not only are males superior in physical training and endurance, but they are also untouchable in mental capacity. Whereas men can retain feelings of disgust until an opportune time to release such emotions, women cannot hold feelings and may have an outburst. Such emotional episodes are bad for business and explains why women receive less compensation at work than men. On average, women receive $10,000 less in salary earnings and are often prevented from attaining executive positions that men are in competition for. Many companies select men over women because they need someone reliable and mentally capable to handle the duties of the job. While women are dependable beings, they are not always emotionally able to hire or terminate employees and may become depressed if forced to do so. Men are naturally inclined to be leaders, while women are made to be followers. Although they try to compete, women are meant to be nurturers and not bread winners.
