Anna Wintour

Arguably the most famous fashion journalist in the world is Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue. Her job as the face of the most prominent fashion magazine alone is enough to make a force in the fashion world but she has also proven herself to be a maker of stars. She has played huge roles in making the careers of fashion designers Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen. She also commands huge influence outside fashion as is evident by her co-hosting a fundraiser for President Obama for the 2012 election campaign (Biography).

Simone S. Oliver is the Online Fashion Editor at The New York Times (Oliver) which makes her an influential presence at the global fashion scene. The New York Times is one of the major newspaper publications in a city which is one of the world’s fashion capitals besides Paris, London, and Milan etc. Going through her articles archive on The New York Times website (The New York Times), it is apparent that she is a presence at some of the leading events for fashion statements including Cannes Film Festival and Met Gala.

Simone S. Oliver

Paris might have been the world’s first fashion capital in modern sense. It takes a special sense of style as well as fashion writing talent to make it big on Paris fashion blogging scene and Alix of The Cherry Blossom Blog has both. Alix Bancourt runs the twelfth most widely-read fashion blog in the world which speaks volume about her influence. Her blog is also followed by the fashion industry insiders (Mangano). Alix talent for fashion might also have to do with her work experiences at Alexander McQueen and Chloe (Bancourt).
