Essay

A good business goal will be both challenging but realistically achievable. If a business sets unrealistic goals the business can unconsciously sabotage the chances of achieving a positive workforce and sense of commune within the company. The employees may begin to feel they have been set up for failure.

Feed the Children is dedicated to raising funds to feed the poor children in the world. They reach out to poor families in over 119 countries around the world. The goals of the company are to motivate companies and other individuals to donate surplus supplies of food and collect monetary contributions to buy food for underdeveloped countries and U.S. starving children and their families. Further their goals are to make backpacks with food, medical supplies and books for families in need. In foreign countries they also supply clothing and self-development programs funded through individual donations. The goal is to influence and teach marketable skills to make families educated and self-sufficient.

These goals are ascertainable by internet marketing, television marketing, telephone cold contact marketing and other outreach program marketing schemes set up to promote donations. Other means of corporate company marketing are contact with companies that furnish surplus food directly to Feed the Children on a regular basis. Strong organization management and voluntary worker commitment is also essential to the maintenance and development of this program. Continued success efforts will be afforded through contacts with foreign officials in other countries to facilitate to the needy without any government interference. This is usually accomplished through contact with the country’s gatekeeper. “The first step to improving a business is to keeping it organized.” (Kurtus, 2000). The ultimate benefits for keeping a business organized are efficiency and good business flow.
