Considering the goal of my project, which is to redefine the process of management that the Project Management Institute takes into account, I specifically prefer choosing the cross-reference pattern between a survey process and an interview approach applied to gain the information I need for the presentation. For the survey process, 15 participants would come from the administrational section of the institute. This particular choice of sample would provide the researcher an indicative presentation on how the organization actually creates particular policies and regulations relating to the need of providing the employees with ample knowledge on what project management is about. This will serve as an insight on how the administrators manage to create a distinct way of developing an environment of knowledge within the institution.

To establish the resulting factors of the administrational direction on the first set of participants, the second set of participants will be composed of 15 students belonging to different levels. Their common ground, being that of the receiver of the service provides a firm foundation on how they relate to the first set of participants. On the other end, their differences, which include that of their level of learning is expected to create a distinct indication on how the administration’s policies towards making project management issues and facets work for the institution actually affect the student body across all the levels.

The interview process shall involve both administrators and students alike in a much randomized pattern. This will allow the sample to be less evasive of the conditions of thinking that may affect their responses on particular questions during the interview. Through collecting data from all these procedures, I hope to correlate collected information to the reading materials that I am to use as references. Doing so shall establish a lecture-to-practice pattern that my research would likely be based upon for validity and reliability reasons.
