Business Plan

Proposed Organizational and Management Structure

The organizational and management structure of every business serve to be among the most important backbones of every entity. This is why research teams are being setup, especially by larger organizations, to make sure that their system of management works towards the emergent condition by which they create distinct goals that specifically identify with the reputation they would like to represent their identity with in the public (Gomez-Mejia, et al, 2008). NetApp’s current system is considerably effective especially in relation to how the organization hopes to function for the members of the society they hope to serve. Nevertheless, there are still distinct matters that need to be adjusted to empower the capacity of the business to indulge in definitive patterns of development.

Current Structure and Management Design of the Organization

Since the organization operates online, the management of its operations is also based on the technical provisions of the internet. Although there is a current physical system that makes management tangible for the administration, most of its operation occurs online, hence pointing out to the internet as the most extensive portal of connection between its members, employees, administrators as well as with its clients.

The current Chairman of the Board for NetApp is Tom Georgens who has come from a laddered system of promotion until he reached the position he is stationed in at present. Relatively, such consideration over NetApp’s leading administration came from an established culture of getting their administrators from a distinct line of employees who have worked for a long time in the organization making him knowledgeable of almost everything in the system.

From the Chairman of the Board is a long line of officials who are expected to take the lead in making sure that the business reaches its goals as it operates in the market. Most often than not, it is through this established structure that every bit of distinct operation undergone by the organization is given particular attention to. Although the internet currently serves as the primary portal of connection for these members and officers, it is their constant communication that makes it possible for distinct procedures of development to occur in the business.

Needed Changes

While the structure itself may be strong, the long line of officers filling up several positions in the organization may at some point weaken the overall course of growth that the business takes into account. Perhaps lessening the number of officers included in the top officials’ lane and putting specific individuals to subordinately support the position held by top officers would further strengthen the point of function that the teams and departments are supposed to take notice of, hence serving as the needed fuel that the machine needs to be able to operate properly.

Application of Management Strategies

To note, the extensive adjustment on the management operations taken into account is focused on the reduction of top office positions to be able to allot the concentration on the lower edge supervision which is expected to create a more concentrated attention on the direct operations that the business hopes to engage in.

Effectiveness of System in Global E-Business Context

The new adjustments suggested are aimed at making the operations of the organization much easier to handle. The direct connection of the lower-edge officers with the actual situations that the organization has to deal with in the market needs to be strongly imposed as this will entitle the said officers with a direct connection on seeing how the business serves the market fully and what particular developments and improvements could still be accounted for to be able to improve business performance (Khurana, et al, 2007).

Conclusion

Every business entity that embraces the culture of growth and expansion needs to be strongly concerned about how e-business strategies could either make or break the way they handle the most competent resources they have to be able to embrace progress. Practical options of growth and development is what makes a definite course of improvement especially in mandating the internet’s performance in making a definite turn on how higher officials are supposed to direct their teams into assured business success.

The overall attention to the development of better structured governance system in the business is intended to refurnish the way the employees are able to function properly to be able to reach the goals that they are supposed to fulfill in line with the organization’s growth culture. Noticeably, people have become even more concerned about how they fully improve their ways of living which involves the way they use the internet as primary portal for the establishment of systems that could ease them out from their chores. How well could this culture be embraced by NetApp? The adjustments on governance and direction suggested in this documentation hopes to mandate the needed organizational boost that NetApp needs to be able to boost its function accordingly.
