FusionRX, Essay Example

Pages: 2

Words: 588

Essay

FusionRX is a high quality organization with a focus on providing pharmacy-based services to its clients in Allen County and the surrounding areas. The business aims to improve its already successful business through expansion with a compounding service in order to expand options for current clientele and to attract future customers to the business. This practice will include the recruitment and retention of highly qualified employees to provide these services and a greater focus on providing high quality products to its customers to improve their overall health and quality of life.

The organizational expansion will be comprised of 3,000 square feet of space and will include prescription and non-prescription areas for compounding use. The new space will use a vertical differentiation approach and employ several experts in different areas to accommodate the new compounding practice, such as pharmacists, technicians, an operations manager, a project manager, a clinical coordinator, and other positions. Compounding product offerings will include medications for pediatrics, dentistry, dermatology, veterinary, and hormone replacement therapy. Pharmacists will be available to provide individual consultations, and prescriptions may be mailed to customers as necessary.

The expansion of the organization with a compounding service improves the ability of the organization to attract a widespread group of customers and to be proactive in meeting patient care needs effectively. This business segment will be accredited by the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board, and all technicians will be certified through the National Pharmacy Technician Association. Customers will be given the utmost attention and focus throughout the process and they will be provided expert knowledge and guidance to address their questions and to support their needs.

The organization possesses a number of critical strengths that are able to support the expansion effort, including but not limited to its successful history of sales and revenue and expert staff to provide these services to customers. In addition, the organization is prepared to expand its target markets to include possible clientele from a number of areas, including children, older adults, veterinarians, pain management clinics, and dermatology patients. Since the concept of custom compounding is appealing to some population groups for its accuracy, convenience, and approach, it is necessary to develop a strategy that will encompass these objectives and provide patients with a well-rounded experience to accommodate patient questions and concerns through counseling.

FusionRx aims to provide its clientele with opportunities to achieve greater growth and an understanding of the different elements that comprise compounding for medications. This process will target healthcare professionals with expert knowledge of medication administration and will support the development of a programmatic effort to educate these professionals regarding the services that will be offered. This will encourage physicians to consider compounding to meet their needs under specific conditions and to use the service for different groups of patients. Therefore, the organization must focus on selling its compounding segment of the business effectively and emphasize its strengths, rather than to focus on the overall infancy of the service. This will ensure that the organization is prepared to effectively manage the needs of its clients and to enable its services to provide the best possible quality and resources at all times.    FusionRx is in a position to achieve significant growth with its entrance into the compounding business once the specific rules have been identified, along with other factors that will aim to improve business practices and streamline efficiencies in order to accomplish the desired set of expectations. This process will encourage the growth of the practice environment and improve patient outcomes through the expansion of its clientele over time.
