Pages: 1

Words: 267

Essay

Future-oriented, innovative management is relevant today as it connects the perceived objectives of the organization with the actual results by motivating employees to embrace innovation. While future-oriented management provides a desirable future for the organization, innovation ensures the accomplishment of these dreams and objectives. Future-oriented, innovative management, therefore, develops the future objectives of the organization and endeavors to ensure the actualization of these objectives. In order for an organization to thrive in these competitive times, it is critical that the organization’s leaders adopt visionary and innovative approaches to ensure excellence. These leaders should have the capacity to convert visionary innovations into reality. This concept is essential as it enables the organization to respond to both the market and technological challenges and incorporate future trends into the organization. It is imperative that in order for an organization to sustainable development the strategies employed should incorporate future trends as well as have aspects of innovation.

In contrast to contemporary concepts of leadership, this leadership shares many characteristics with the contemporary models. It is noteworthy that future-oriented, innovative management heavily borrows from the contemporary models with enhancements to ensure that effective innovation strategies are included and that these strategies are realizable. Unlike the contemporary concepts of leadership, future-oriented leadership strategies ensure that the desired objectives of the organization are realizable. This concept embraces ideas such as technological as well as social and environmental changes. In essence, this concept provides for the ability of the organization’s leaders and employees to recognize and interpret changes in the organization as well as develop strategies to ensure the achievement and continued existence of the organization.
