Nevertheless, these affiliations did not keep them away from desiring to do what was seemingly common among women from other races. The topic of marriage, family, extended relatives and the binding elements that keep the Arabs connected to their culture is what is being fully explored in the reading. The private conversations of the women in the story depict the truth behind the veils that cover the faces of the young and married Saudi Arabian women. Considered as a literary piece of expose’, this material provides a distinct indication on how modern ways of living in Saudi Arabia at present has been affected largely by the history and the culture that binds the country and its people.
