Words: 489

Essay

For quite some time now, global warming has been known to affect many locations throughout the world. The articles used for this specific investigation are Hague climate change judgement could inspire a global civil movementand Weak sun could offset some global warming in Europe and US study. The former talks about the manner in which a case brought up by the Dutch which deals with global warming. In this specific case, the Dutch government is being forced to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 25% over the course of only five years. For many, this is a pivotal point for things to change. For others, this simple case gives hope that other countries will notice what the Dutch are doing so that foreign countries undergo such actions as well.

The latter article deals with an extensive study that proves that the sun would reduce its heat by about 20% in the upcoming years. What this means is that global warming can potentially be stalled for some period of time. The article explains that the reason as to why this is happening is because the sun is now entering a weaker cycle than before. According to the study, some of the effects of this are already noticeable in many parts of the world. What many individuals hope this means is that global warming will no longer be a problem in the world for future generations.

It should go without saying that the articles presented here are completely reliable. The Guardianis an internationally renowned news agency. In fact, it was the winner of the Pulitzer Prize last year, in 2014. In regards to the authors of the articles, they are credible as well. The former article was written by Emma Howard, who is a journalist at the Guardian, focusing on social policy. The latter was written by Adam Vaughan who is an editor for the Guardians environmental site.

Before I took a close look at these articles, I believed that there was truly no good manner through which global warming could be reduced. However, after thinking about these articles and paying close attention to what they are trying to convey, it is now easy to see how global warming can slowly come to a stop. The articles do a very good job of explaining the manner through which global warming can soon cease to be a problem for the human race.
