Essay

Global warming is increasing as time passes by. There are substantial facts available to testify the Earth’s overall climate which is changing. The change of global climate cannot be tolerated as problems will start to develop. The scientists predict that global warming effects will affect our environment and the world we live. There are indicators like rising sea levels, temperature and climate change are just a few facts. Joint effort is required to realize the impact of this phenomena.

Global warming has become a debatable issue. The point everyone tries to prove is whether the temprature of the earth is rising or not ? The green house effect is one of the reason for global warming as a balanced input and release of the sun energy is disturbed. Green house contains water vapours, Co2 and methane which enables radiation from the sun and does not absorb the sun waves to its extent. At the same time, the earth exhausts long wave radiation in the atmosphere. When that energy reaches the gases, it is called the “blanket effect”. Without the greenhouse effect, the global warming should never have started.

Green house effect is producing heat resulting in global warming  “National Academy of Sciences says,  In the past century, the temprature of the surface of the earth has risen about 1 degree, with accelerated warming during the past two decades (EPA).” The increase is not huge but the impact shows the bigger picture for the living beings of the planet earth. The gases emitted in the atmosphere through various ways for example human activities. The increase in gas emission for the past 100 years was devastating for increasing the temprature of the atmosphere. The national assessment team says, “the concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) has risen about 30% since the late 1800s.”.  By the estimation from the  Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change the concentration of CO2 will double from postindustrial levels by the mid- to late 21st century (EPA).
