Extension of ethics in business and addresses the global values, goals, and business practices within ethics.  This includes the global cooperation to support responsible business such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the United Nations Global Compact World Trade Organization (WTO).  A lot of companies deal in global business so it is important to understand the different cultures, values, laws, and ethical standards.  Global businesses are continuing to grow as well.  In my life, work, and future career will most likely require me to deal with global business. Understanding the laws and standards of my own country may not be enough.  Ethics based on social environment is not necessarily knowledge that can be learned in a classroom, I will need to utilize outside resources.  Some cultural values are universal, and some are based on a specific country, that is something I will have to be able to distinguish as well.

This chapter covered an excessive amount of material regarding global ethical issues and risks.  It is easy to understand the general discussion of the subject, until I personally have to face it in my professional life.  There are some laws that are universal and will carry over regardless of the country, but some that do not.  There were a lot of global organizations listed to utilize when practicing international business.  This will aid when personal uncertainties arise for proper ethical practices.  I feel confident with a broad understanding of this topic, but still feel there is a lot of depth that has not been fully covered in this chapter.
