Goals and objectives

Early children classes provide primary context for children interaction with peers. This is particularly true for children with disabilities. This is because the barriers within the communities limit their social interactions.

The development of positive social skills with peers is important in childhood and failure to do so has far-reaching repercussions. Young children with disabilities are at higher risks of non-optimal relationship with peers. Developmental delays in social competence surpass other areas of disability in children. In general, children with disability have difficulties in forming, maintain friendships, and engaging in less social play. In addition, children with disabilities have problems in developing communication and riding skills.

Goal 1

By the end of the year, a child will read the second grade material at a rate of 70 to 90- words per minute with an error rate of less than 4 mistakes

Objectives

  1. By may 2015, the child will be able to read first grade materials at a rate of 70 to 100 word per minute with no more than 3 mistakes
  2. By august 2015, the child will be able to read second grade materials at a rate of 30 to 50 words with no more than 4 to 6 mistakes
  3. By December 2015, the child will be able to read second grade materials at a rate of 50 to 70 words per minute with no more than 3 mistakes
  4. By April 2016, the child will be able to read the second grade materials at a rate of 70 to 90 word per minute with no more than 0 to 2 mistakes

Goal 2

By the end of the year, given a hundred object the child will identify and name 60 new objects

Objectives

  1. By may 2015, a child will be able to name 20 new objects in their environment
  2. By august 2015, a child will be able to name 15 additional new objects
  3. By December 2015, a child will be able to name 20 additional objects in their environment
  4. By march 2015, a child will be able to name 20 additional objects in their environment

Goal 3

By the end of year, given 40 minutes free playtime a child will engage in interactive playtime with peers for at least 30- 40 minutes.

Objectives

  1. Given 40 minutes the child will engage in interactive play with at least peer for at least five minutes
  2. Given 40 minutes of free play time , a child will engage in interactive play, with peers for at least 10 minutes
  3. Given 40 minutes of free play time , a child will engage in interactive play, with peers for at least 20 minutes
  4. Given 40 minutes of free play time , a child will engage in interactive play, with peers for at least 30- 40 minutes

Goal 4

By the end of the year, a child will learn to touch type a passage of text at a rate of 20 words per minutes with no more than 10 errors on a minute.

Objectives

  1. By the end of the year, a child will learn to touch type a passage of text at a rate of 10 words per minutes with no more than 7 errors on a minute.
  2. By the end of the year, a child will learn to touch type a passage of text at a rate of 15 words per minutes with no more than 10 errors on a minute.
  3. By the end of the year, a child will learn to touch type a passage of text at a rate of 20 words per minutes with no more than 10 errors on a minute.
  4. By the end of the year, a child will learn to touch type a passage of text at a rate of 20 words per minutes with no more than 10 errors on a minute.
