I am writing to apply for first year piano performance slot at UBC music school. I am a highly organized goal driven person with passion in music. I am very enthusiastic about the possibility of joining UBC School of music because of its fine reputation and because this opportunity is in line with my background, interest, and experience. I am particularly interested in joining UBC University for the following reasons; UBC is one of the best Universities in Canada; UBC has highly qualified teachers. It is also important to note that UBC has one of the world’s greatest concert halls – UBC Chan center for the performing arts, which is very essential for music students. My career goal is to leave a recognizable lasting impact in the music industry and being able to bring inspiration and contempt to the people around me. My career objective is excelling in all fields in my career line. In this regard, I have to perform my duties diligently and with high precision whilst upholding professionalism. This means that I have to portray utmost dedication and hard work. I am prepared to take on the encroaching challenges that may deter me in a tactful manner. I strongly believe that music has power to transform lives of people all over the world. I also believe that Music can enhance social cultural and spiritual lives of all people all over the world. It is noteworthy that music can also serve as a profound media of personal expression. I also possess a range of relevant skills and experience, including hands-on experience with a range of office programs. My relevant computer skill include MS word, MS excel, MS PowerPoint, ClarisWorks, and finale windows. I am also conversant with the music school environment. I have the ability to learn new applications and instrument with confidence and ease. I also possess impeccable communication skills, perfect listening skills, and robust ability to complete tasks quickly and efficiently. I am a Good problem-solver with an ability to work well as a part of a team as well as alone, self confident and able to work with minimal supervision and values integrity and honesty.

You will find me to be a down to earth and admirable person who always endeavors to carry out tasks in professional manner. I am also a highly social person. My empathy enables me to discuss freely any matters of concerns with students, tutors, supervisors, and the faculty employees of with diverse social backgrounds. I am proficient in classical guitar and possess solid skills in the collection of brass and other wood wind instrument. I posses other skills outside the music industry, these skills include acting and athletics. I have won several awards in badminton competition tournaments. In addition, I have built a reputation of a strong power player in volleyball. I have also won awards in events on tracks and field events. Besides athletics, I have also developed a talent in playing chess and reading at rapid rate. In addition, I possess a unique experience and patient in handling and training dogs. I also possess leadership skills; I was a member of concert committee in the high school. I believe this opportunity will bring great value in me, and broaden my music, experience. It will also help me develop my talent whilst exposing me to various music instruments. I believe my skills, interests, and experience is an excellent match with the requirement.
