Teams or groups are expected to establish a working rapport between each other as they set aside their personal desires and become more tuned into the overall goals of the entire group. It could be observed that this approach to operation has provided a great deal of advancement to several organizations who have decided to embrace the said culture of operation. However, although team-based considerations are expected to be as effective as they are, there are of course some downturns to the said approach. One of which is the aspect of motivation. It is essential that workers be given the chance to grow and realize their sense of achievement. Noting through the years of experience that effective teamwork often spurs out from effective cooperation between members, it is essential to consider that modern ways of business operations could also gain good understanding of the said process through that idealism.
Most body of employees today are accustomed to face the challenges of working in the middle of diversified culture because of the fact that most working environments at present have already been affected by the impact of globalization. This assumption of development specifically indicates the need to change the approach in motivating teams especially in consideration with their desires and the values they give most specific importance to. Employees working on teams are expected to gain better focus at work when they know what they are doing and why they are doing such tasks. This means that the goals for such teams ought to be clear and specific. Having that type of goal definitely mandates the growth of the interest of the members of the team. Considerably, it is through this approach that team members become more influenced to keep their focus intact into the fulfillment of the tasks that have been assigned to them for completion.
Having a single goal for the team however is just a part of the motivational approach that could be used to empower teams to work together. It is much effective if the administrators find a way to create incentive programs for the entire team as they successfully complete tasks that are assigned to them within a specific span of time. The assumptions from which such operations occur especially in line with the desire to improve the attention and focus of the team members is best derived from a team perspective rather than an individual rewards approach. Most likely, a team based reward and incentive system is more effective especially in insisting cooperation among members of the working group. Effectively, the members of the group shall be dedicated towards making changes among themselves hence adjusting to other members so as to make sure that they are able to get the incentives that have been prepared for them. True, there are pros and cons to this approach especially when it comes to establishing camaraderie between the members of the team. Nonetheless, with good leadership on the part of the one who is placed in charge of the team, the members would have a better understanding on what their role is in gaining the reward that they hope to have and in fulfilling the goals that they are hoping to reach. With the indicative focus that these individuals are implying upon their work attitude alongside the working culture of their team mates, it is expected that cooperation would evidently spur between the members of the team and expected development towards a more defined tone of development for the entire group’s desire to move forward shall be given way. With a clear goal and a unified desire to gain the incentive, team members are motivated to work together towards their achievement.
