Each one of us probably wonders on a weekly if not daily basis as to which cosmic secrets remain locked. We also probably look towards the emergence of a thinker or an experiment or even a space mission to unlock these cosmic secrets which could radically change the life on earth.

Without curiosity, we are like a farmer who has no interest in anything beyond the land that provides him with his livelihood. But if this was the attitude adopted by our ancestors, we would still be cave dwellers and hunters.

We owe it to ourselves and our future generations to explore not only because it is fun but also because it will also allow us to prevent the selfish and egocentric belief that the universe revolves around us. Such an egocentric view would only encourage individuals and nations with might and greed to act upon their prejudiced beliefs, resulting in mankind’s cultural decline until a new ideology once again encourages cosmic exploration.
