Today in the American society, number of cultures with different backgrounds and a variety of people exist that covers the United States entirely which allows for different beliefs and different behaviors. However, the main group that transforms the America known as Hispanic group. The political, linguistic, social, religious, economic, and family changes appear in the American culture because of these rapid changes. Because of different cultures involvement, today we have number of things in the United States. I will discuss, in this paper, the role of four Hispanic groups in each of the areas listed above.
Mexican Americans
Mexican Americans have distinguishing features to the United States diversity. From Mexico the Mexican immigrants have greatly influenced and results into cultural differences in the United States because it is considered one of the major Hispanic groups that resides in this country. As a result, in 1960s, the government of the United States because of increase in the population of Mexican American instructed that the nation must have bilingual programs in all schools. Nowadays, there are many concerns in relation to the transition of English and Spanish language educational barriers. Some people think that it is acceptable to teach native language to children whereas transforming these children into English and others language do not. In the initial years of Mexican Americans recognition and growth, they were restricted by racism, but today they can be found in the political stature offices as for instance Chief Justice and or congress. Mexican Americans socially were engaged in revolutionary movements for example the association of United Farm Workers (UFW) and even today expanding socially and leading their communities jointly with other minorities groups to help in shaping better America. Mexican Americans were a largest component of improving the economy of the United States since after the migration Mexican Americans accepted those jobs that other people groups rejected to do. They mainly worked into agriculture industry and provided large number of people as a labor. Mexican Americans have faith in Jesus Christ and Lord that make them very religious. Largely they are Catholic, but most of them are considered Pentecostal. The familial beliefs of Mexican Americans are still strong since they came and they restrict together to assist their group members with any type of necessities.
Puerto Rican
The Puerto Rican American culture largely covers the whole east coast of the America. By language Puerto Rican speak the language similar to Mexican Americans, but with minor differences. Puerto Rican Americans in the United States also tackle the hardship of language since it has been considered too costly to manage such programs in schools. Such linguistic programs will remain to be one of the major issues of nation that need to be dealt with. Socially, Puerto Ricans have been in the attention because of their home country named as Puerto Rico which means rich port. Americans from Puerto Rican group today are famous for their large affiliations in politics. Economically, they are the poorest and inconvenienced Hispanic American group economically from start to now. Poverty has passively influenced Puerto Ricans due to their position in the U.S.A. They are considered in the United States as smallest Hispanic ethnic group. Religiously, like Mexican Americans Puerto Ricans are also very binding with their religious principles and they believe that spirit is all around the world is. Puerto Ricans familial concerns are very strong with one another, but at present they are adopting American life-style. However, the new generations of Puerto Rican Americans have presented in their culture the custom of brotherhood.
Cuban Americans
Cuban Americans are the most famous Hispanic group in the region of Florida. The largely spoken language in this group is Spanish additionally to the Hispanic group domination. Cuban Americans have limited role in politics of the United States because they have been entirely locked out from the democratic point of view. At present, Cuba has returned to free trade policy with the U.S.A and that will continue in developing strong relationships in the future. Socially, this group has tried to set up themselves in the USA and control approximately the whole state managing them to hold a position in communities. The Cuban Americans spend more wealth when compared to other Hispanic group since number of Cuban Americans likes to college rather than other Hispanic groups. They declare that Catholicism is their religion, but most people do not accept and follow any religious beliefs at all because they believe in the socialist idea that Fidel Castro had been imposed in their lives. This group dominates the United States eastern coast and holds a great extent of political statuses within the government of Florida.
Latino Americans
Latino Americans come from the Latin America or Spain and most of the people argued that the United States is their home. From many years the bilingual educational programs have been assisting Latino Americans. They have been classified in the U.S.A as a Hispanic ethnic. The people of this group speak Spanish and the parents of immigrated children into U.S.A feel difficult to adopt American life. Their children learn English quickly and usually help their parents as a translator wherever they go. The Latino Americans area has very volatile political situations that as a result impacted many Latino natives while immigrating to the U.S.A. Today, the people of this group maintain their relations with relatives and family back in El Salvador and help one another with American living. Latinos hold out a huge economic loss of stability back home and thus, have explored for new ways of life in U.S.A. From religious perspective, Latinos have maintained very close associations with their Catholicism religious beliefs. For most of the Latino Americans Catholicism is in fact a real way of spending life, but for other Latino Americans have some other religious beliefs.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the above four discussed Hispanic groups have some shared practices for example the speaking Spanish language and common religious practices. In the developing years of the USA these groups were contributed to the politics of America. In these days, we can observe rapid changes take place every day in these areas and the reason is that Hispanic Americans groups having education and transforming into the culture of America. It is evidence that today number of Hispanic American are doctors, armed generals, activists and politicians which are representing their groups throughout the United States. These four different Hispanic groups have many things in common, but they also have different backgrounds of wealth, socially recognized beliefs and presence. It is my viewpoint that these four discussed Hispanic groups are not same.
