Which project management tools or principles you can use at your Hospital (1) to increase the success rate of projects. Why and How?
Among the principles of project management that the hospital could use is that of establishment of clear goals, transparency about project status and the aspect of heightened risk recognition process. The establishment of clear goals is deemed important especially that it gives the organization a clear understanding on what is required to be done and basically what should be done to improve the entity’s operational function for its stakeholders. Through having a clear statement of the goal, the administrators and the project managers are expected to have a clear vision on what needs to be done in line with the desire of improving hospital conditions.
Another principle to give attention to is the transparency about project status, which is expected to make a strong impact on how the project is conveyed to the members of the organization. Through properly defined and transparent progress reports, everyone becomes involved in the condition of development that is being embraced by the organization. The third principle to note is that of the application of the recognition of risk factors. This would allow the chance for the organization to develop necessary alternatives when certain problems arise.
Which project management charts would you use? Why?
The people chart which is also close to a Gantt chart would be very useful for the organization’s desire to follow a specific course of development that would actually be dependent on a key schedule of activities that the team who holds the project should follow. The Gantt chart of people-defined-tasks would provide the project manager with the right condition of understanding and following through the progress of the project being pursued. Utilizing a Gantt chart with all the necessary points of consideration included especially regarding people-assignments would create a more workable environment that not only the project manager, but also the whole staff would be able to follow accordingly.
Choose a company(1) process. Which priority rules should you use for this process in order to maximize overall performance? Why and How?
The management process of a company shall provide the project manager in this case a source of competence in specifically utilizing all necessary assets [including human and monetary resources] for the best cause of results that the organization could best gain benefit from. It is the desire of effectively putting the right people to do the right tasks that match their capacity that would be able to manifest a sense of proper management on the part of the project’s head manager.
Having a management process applied in the approach to completing the project shall allow the whole team to be well motivated to complete the tasks that they were assigned hence making it easier for the fulfillment of the goal to be realized. Relating to a course of proper mandate of events and resources, the process of management gives the project manager a source of competence that all individuals involved in the situation would put their best into their performance hence making the results of the project more affective to the organization’s progress as a whole. In line with managing people, the direction that the management process imposes shall provide the whole team a sense of urgency. It shall improve the manner by which they are to apply proper performance in completing their assigned tasks during an assigned due date that they should all recognize; with this, development is sure to be realized during the target date of the project’s completion.
