How Will You Cope With the Rigorous Schedule, Essay Example

Pages: 2

Words: 622

Essay

San Juan college dental hygiene program is an extremely intense academic program that involves a lot of constrictive criticism form instructors. How will you cope with the rigorous schedule? How will you handle the criticism?

An intense and responsive academic experience at San Juan College would be extremely beneficial for my long-term professional and personal goals.  It is important that students are tested at high standards within the coursework and the interactions of the program.  Ultimately these criteria would enable me to develop and be successful in my career preparation.

The intense program at San Juan College would be a challenging, yet positive, way to study in order to become a dental hygienist.  The best way to cope with the schedule involves a high level of discipline and planning.  A student must adjust to the demands of the schedule accordingly, making time in one’s life for academic and personal essentials.  In this discipline and planning comes a level of dedication and commitment to the program.  With this commitment I will be able to focus on the schedule, coursework, and all of my obligations in my prospective study as a student, in order to be successful with the rigors of the program.

The most important aspect of the intensive study scheme at San Juan College is the impact it can have on a potential career as a dental hygienist.  If one is able to assert one’s self in the program, he or she will be better prepared to meet the demands of the career.  Truly every career has a range of demands that can affect the professional in the workplace.  However, with the rigors of a well-developed program, I believe I would be able to meet any obstacles as a hygienist with my prospective educational foundation.

Constructive criticism is another beneficial aspect of the program at San Juan College that must not be taken lightly.  In respect to the high-quality instructors I may have the opportunity to learn from, their criticisms will be an invaluable part of the learning experience.  In order to succeed in my preparation in the field, I must be able to handle criticism well, and more importantly use it in my development.

I believe the process of receiving and utilizing constructive criticism in the program is also an important step with regards to my preparation in the field.  The criticism that is made would enable me to identify my strengths and weaknesses.  Thus, I would be able to focus my time on improving myself in regards to my skills as a future dental hygienist.  For me to be successful in my prospective studies, I must be able to take criticism and use it to my advantage.  I can then become my own critic, in order to help me develop and seek to perfect the areas that require further attention.  This work ethic can prove vital to my future development, as I continue to grow beyond my studies in the field as a professional.

The constructive criticism and intense academic nature of the San Juan Dental Hygiene Program would allow me to improve in many areas of development.  Of course, there is a level of dedication and composure that needs to be involved in order to succeed within the program.  Yet the focal point, I believe, rests in the manner in which I react and use these standards to help me develop, both in my academic work in the program and with regards to my future professional development.  I could use the pace and feedback to grow as an individual and dental hygienist, so that I can handle the pressures and development required to excel as a professional in this field.  The prospective study with the program would be an integral part of my overall development.
