I Live in Watches and Time, Poem Example

Pages: 1

Words: 300

Poem

My day begins with the tick tock of the clock

I watch the second hand pass one line towards another so fast

I begin to move and think and the same time, what would this day have for me?

What would this day mean to me? Would it be good or not?

I chase every breath as I look through the passing of time

And realize that my feet aren’t as fast as my mind…

I hope of having finished and yet my body does not respond

While I move around, my eyes never leave the sight of watch

As if my life hangs by its threads and my breath counts every after tick tock

Rushing and running around, I think I sometimes am nowhere to be found

Not knowing what to do first, I confuse myself, panicking that time might catch up

I feel the sense of urgency and yet have a hard time reacting to it…

Wishing that somehow, the tick tock would stop and just give me a chance to see

Everything that life has to offer me while I stop by and spend some time

Everything that I have been missing while I rush back and forth with my eyes stuck to the watch

I  wish to enjoy, but what could I do, I hang by a thread and with watches I live my life through…

Do I intend to change? Do I intend to alter?

Do I try to find a way to make my life a little bit better?

Will a life without watch, without time be a bit more enjoyable?

Shall I take the chance, or shall I stay in this life and remain miserable?

Is it the time or is it me, would it be different if living with watches was not my thing?

These questions continue to linger, but up to know with watches and time I live my life with

Time is precious

Time is precious

don’t waste it!
